About this format

The open standard for e-books, created by the IDPF in 2007. Inside it is HTML files in a zip. The decisive difference from pdf is that text reflows to fit the screen.

What it can hold

What it cannot

  • Fixed pages — so page numbers differ from device to device

When you convert it
