The installer is about 1.4MB — it uses the WebView2 runtime Windows already ships instead of bundling a browser engine. Conversions run on the server, so the app stays current without re-downloading it.
A single EXE · no install, just double-click · carry it on a USB stick
Paste it into PowerShell or Command Prompt. Works once the Microsoft repository review is complete.
winget install Projectteamforyou.OmniDesk
These files are signed as PROJECTTEAMFORYOU. SmartScreen looks at something separate from the signature — how long this publisher's files have been running without trouble — and that history has only just started. The warning goes away as more people download it.
If you would rather check for yourself
Run this in PowerShell; if the value matches the .sha256 file, the file you have is exactly the one we built.
Get-FileHash $env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\OmniDesk-Windows-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256
If you would rather not install anything, use it in the browser — the features are identical. The desktop app is only a window; conversion and storage happen on the server either way.
